Conference Venue

The conference will be held at two locations in the Adele Stamp Student Union on the campus of the University of Maryland

Day One

The conference will open in the Atrium, a room not far from the reception desk in the main entrance of the Stamp Union. It is located on level 1F, above the food court (see map).

Poster Session

The poster session and reception will be held in the Benjamin Banneker room, one level up from the Atrium. (Go to the Coffee Bar on the first floor and find the elevator / stairwell nearby - ascend one level. On exiting, turn right and follow the corridor around to the left - see map.)

Day Two

Our Day Two sessions will be held again in the Benjamin Banneker room.

Directions to the Stamp Student Union

 

Summer construction on campus (from a university notification)

  • Some lanes on Route 1 in College Park will be closed intermittently for construction related to the Route 1 improvement project. Closures may occur both southbound and northbound during the week.
  • Please listen to 103.5 WTOP or follow @UMPD on Twitter for the most current traffic information.
  • Here are all of the planned changes you can expect to see on campus this summer (see map):
    • Campus Drive will be closed from Paint Branch Drive to Regents Drive for Purple Line construction (beginning mid- to late-June).
    • Campus Drive will be closed from Regents Drive to Union Lane for Purple Line construction (beginning May 25).
    • Fieldhouse Drive will be closed in the area south of Riggs Alumni Center for utility construction (beginning June 15).
    • Stadium Drive between Paint Branch Drive and Engineering Drive is already closed for construction of Stanley R. Zupnik Hall and will remain closed during the summer and beyond.
    • Regents Drive Garage will be closed for repairs (beginning June 5). Transportation Services has directed employees who park in the garage to park in the closest faculty/staff overflow lot.
    • Vehicle detours will be in place. Please follow the linked map for details.
    • Pedestrian detours will be required in many places. All pedestrian detours will be ADA-compliant. (See maps).
