I-Health and Well Being Working Group

Provides a forum for health scholars across the UMD campus

MPRC has established a working group to support faculty with research interests in health.  In its recent grant, a section was devoted to support the “Health and Social Context” research theme, highlighting scholarship focused on determinants of infant, child, and youth health; health and aging; and the impact of health care systems and social programs on health outcomes.  The name of this working group is called “I-Health and Well-Being Working Group.”  Our mission is to support scholarship that investigates a myriad of health issues using interdisciplinary perspectives, from scholars from public health, the social sciences, STEM fields, and other disciplines.  An important aim of this working group is to provide a forum for health scholars across the UMD campus, support scholarship by providing peer reviewed comments on working papers, facilitate cross campus collaboration on research grants, bring in a distinguished health scholar to be featured in a symposium sponsored to MPRC, along with a myriad of other options/activities.

Any questions about the group can be sent to .
