About the Training
MPRC offers multiple-week, non-credit SAS, Stata, and R training courses. The classes are open to MPRC affiliated faculty and students, and course offerings will focus on SAS, Stata, and R topics relevant to population research.

2020 Fall Offerings
MPRC will offer a free online non-credit course on R this semester. If you wish to participate, please use the registration form.
Topics Covered in the R Course Include:
- An introduction to R and some useful R vocabulary.
- Tips for constructing your first R script.
- Guides on moving data sets between R and other statistical software packages, particularly Stata and SAS.
- Tutorials on how to manipulate existing data sets.
- Example code for visualizing and modeling data.
The R course will also feature a discussion forum for MPRC affiliates to ask and answer questions on all things related to R.
