John Haltiwanger featured in The Wall Street Journal on Job Loss during COVID-19
When fewer firms open, it can weigh heavily on the job market.
According to Justin Lahart, reporting in the Wall Street Journal, the job market is shrinking not only because of the existing firms' deteriorating profits and budget struggles but also due to a great number of startups loss from the pandemic. Faculty Associate John Haltiwanger added that "high-growth startups play a vital role, they have an outsized role in job creation."
