Sacoby Wilson featured in Gizmodo on Health Equity amid the COVID-19 Outbreak

Yessenia Funes, a reporter writing for Gizmodo UK, just published an article addressing those already suffer most from pollution and environmental changes may be hit most by the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

Faculty Associate Sacoby Wilson, associate professor from the University of Maryland School of Public Health focusing on health equity and environmental justice, suggests looking at the impacts by COVID-19  through the health equity lens. "Air pollutants that may intersect with the coronavirus in dangerous ways. The pandemic isn’t going away. It’s important that scientists keep in mind who may be suffering a disproportionate risk from the virus, especially as the Trump administration strips their communities of environmental protections," said Wilson.
