Philip Cohen comments on the rising co-living arrangements

Sharing households seems to be the solution facing rising housing costs in Miami

Rebecca San Juan, writing for The Miami Herald, reports that according to Census data, people living in Miami are increasingly sharing households with unrelated people in face of the rising housing costs. Similar living arrangement also trend in cities such as New York City and Orlando.

Among those who share their households, Millennials and the elderly take the large share. Faculty Associate Philip Cohen agreed on the co-living arrangements assessment, particularly for the elderly, explaining that "If they are bundling up together, it’s usually out of necessity."
