Sergio Urzua named Chilean Economist of the Year for 2022
Contributions to policy discussions in Chile recognized
Faculty Associate Sergio Urzua, Professor of Economics, is recognized as Chilean Economist of the Year for 2022. Dr. Urzua was born in Maipú, Chile, attended university there, and completed his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Chicago. His contributions to policy in Chile include serving for one year as labor markets coordinator for the Ministry of the Treasury.
