Richardson research featured in Crime Report interview

A research program that aims to give voice to young, Black men

Faculty Associate Joseph Richardson's project, Life After the Gunshot, is profiled in an article on The Crime Report, a product of the Center on Media and Justice and the John Jay College. The article includes an extensive interview with Dr. Robinson and his career researching gun violence in an African American context. His dissertation project "started out as a study on the context of violence, but it became a study about social capital and how the utilization of it by kids either leads to violence, or desistance, or resistance," he says.
