Rashawn Ray comments on policies for Black Americans in Trump administration
Many Black Americans disagree with the President's claim to "have done more for Black Americans than anybody"
In a recent article for the Brookings Institution, Faculty Associates Rashawn Ray covers key concerns about policies that Black Americans faced under the Trump administration. He stated that "It is true that Black unemployment was at an all-time low in February 2020, before COVID-19," he writes. "Yet, the Black unemployment rate under the Obama-Biden administration had one of the largest declines in American history following The Great Recession. Trump largely inherited a growing economy," Ray added.
