Rayshawn Ray discusses "Black and Blue" dilemma with Kojo Nnamdi
National radio show examines the dilemma faced by African American police officers
Faculty Associate Rashawn Ray appeared on the Kojo Nnamdi show, a national radio broadcast, to speak about the issues faced by African American men and women who work in police departments across America.
". . . I've spoken to several police officers, even just over the past few weeks, who at protests have been called everything from a sellout to an Uncle Tom, to, on the inside of police departments, have been said that they're too black, that when they comment or speak out internally or externally that they are choosing black over blue."
