Social media adds to the pressure of a perfect marriage
Lisa Green, a writer and reporter for NBC News on THINK, published an article following the divorce depicted in the Oscar nominated film "Marriage Story," as the real American divorce is much more complicated than presented on the screen.
Green points out that marriage in the U.S. "is becoming a little less prevalent and little more stable." Faculty Associate Philip Cohen shares the same opinion, adding that american couples are getting married later with stabler marriage. Social media, as Cohen noted, can also be a factor contributing to the late marriage trend as couples want their marriage to look good on instagram.
