Rashawn Ray named Rubenstein Fellow at Brookings

One of ten fellows in second cadre of the distinguished program

Faculty Associate Rashawn Ray recently was named a David M. Rubenstein Fellow at The Brookings Institution. The two-year fellowships have been awarded to 10 outstanding early- and mid-career scholars, who will be placed across five research programs at the Brookings Institution to study a wide range of local, national, and global policy issues, according to an announcement. While at Brookings Dr. Ray's work will be part of the Governance Studies topic area.

"The mission of Brookings’s work is to improve governance and develop innovative policy solutions for the most pressing challenges of the 21st century,” said Brookings President John R. Allen. “I’m particularly excited that this new cohort of Rubenstein Fellows brings unique experience and expertise in the policy implications of artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and data science. The impacts of AI will affect virtually every facet of society in the 21st century, and Brookings is committed to cutting-edge research on the social, political, and economic challenges that these technologies will introduce.”
