Join the University of Maryland (UMD) Department of Health Policy and Management, the Hospital and Public Health InterdisciPlinarY Research (HAPPY) Laboratory, and the UMD Center on Aging for the “HAPPY Aging Symposium.”
The HAPPY Aging Symposium brings together UMD students and faculty to discuss research and practices relating to aging health and health equity, geriatric mental health, dementia/ADRD, health information technology, environmental exposure and the built environment, among other topics.
Keynote speakers are renowned geriatric mental health researcher Charles F. Reynolds III, MD, and Partha Bhattacharyya, PhD, Chief Data Officer of the Office of Data Resources and Analytics (ODRA) at the National Institute of Aging, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Bhattacharyya also serves as a Program Director in Population and Social Processes within the Division of Behavioral and Social Research.
9am - 10am speakers include topics such as: mental health care of the aging population, mental health policy research, and community resources for people with dementia.
10am - 10:45am: Q&As and networking
10:45am - 12pm speakers including topics such as: emergency departments telemedicine and environmental exposure.
