This course is designed for people who JUST START to use SAS or for Stata users who want to switch to SAS. The course introduces basic user interface techniques for using SAS to accomplish data processing tasks. The students in the class will have some hands-on experience on downloading SAS dataset from internet and performing basic data manipulation. The class notes are printed and given to the students in the class. No prior SAS programming knowledge is required.

2. Downloading SAS data from internet
3. Converting Excel, SPSS, and Stata data into SAS with easy ways
4. Examining and cleaning data
5. Creating, recording and grouping variables
6. Creating dummy variable
7. Creating variable labels and format
