In my research, I combine my academic background in survey methodology, statistics, genetics, and computer science to develop statistical methods for efficiently designing and analyzing complex samples in population research area. Especially, my research interests focus on health disparity. I have been involved in research projects of:

  1. Extension of the Peter-Belson method to estimate health disparities among multiple groups using logistic regression with survey data
  2. Utilizing Barbershops/Salons to Conduct a Family Health History Intervention to Promote Colorectal Cancer Screening among African Americans
  3. Latinos' willingness to participate in research: A national random survey
  4. Extending various health disparity indexes to the setting of complex surveys.

I am interested in continuing endeavors in these important areas.
