Biography:

Wade Jacobsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland. In his research, he examines social and behavioral outcomes of school punishment and juvenile justice involvement in the United States. He is particularly interested in how punishment affects a child’s or adolescent's social networks, including friendship and family networks, and in understanding the extent to which these network changes explain changes in subsequent behavior.
