Biography:
Wade Jacobsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In his research, he examines the effects of punishment, such as incarceration and school discipline, on behavioral outcomes across the life course. He is particularly interested in the consequences of punishment for individual social networks, including friendship and family networks, and in the role of social networks in the association between punishment and subsequent behavior.
