Abraham, Haltiwanger part of briefing for Treasury Secretary
After meeting with a group of economists including Faculty Associates Dr. Katharine Abraham and Dr. John Haltiwanger and with Wall Street executives, Secretary Lew will give a speech in Cleveland next week which will look at ways to "increase the momentum of the recovery and speed the pace of job creation," his office told Bloomberg News. Other attendees at the April 29 meeting of economists were Byron Auguste, a director at McKinsey & Co.; Richard Freeman, a Harvard University economist; Alan Krueger, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers; David Rodriguez, chief human resources officer at Marriott International; and Robert Shimer, a University of Chicago economist, Bloomberg reported.
