Improving Quality of Life in Chinese and Korean Breast Cancer Patients or Survivors: Pilot Study

Sunmin Lee, Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among women across all racial/ethnic groups in the United States, and its survival rate is also very high. Although researchers have developed some intervention programs to improve quality of life in breast cancer patients or survivors (BCPS), most of them were targeted for middle-class White BCPS and African American BCPS. There have been no intervention studies targeted to improve quality of life in Asian American BCPS. The researchers will conduct a pilot study to develop a randomized study testing the effectiveness of an intervention program to improve the quality of life in Chinese and Korean BCPS.
