The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) - November 22nd, 2019

The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) seeks to hire a Health Science Policy Analyst (HSPA).  This position focuses on a range of policy and programmatic initiatives, evaluations, and grant portfolio analyses to assess the current status of behavioral and social sciences research and potential overlap and gaps in the research supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  The position involves providing guidance, evidence, and assistance to OBSSR leadership concerning science policy and program issues affecting the NIH and the broader biomedical, behavioral, and social science research communities. The HSPA will work as part of a team and contribute to a range of mission central functions involving planning, research and grant portfolio analysis, policy tracking and development, and program coordination in support of behavioral and social sciences across the NIH.
