MPRC announces winners of 2020 Summer Grant competition

Winners to receive funding to support preparation of a submission to the 2021 PAA Annual Meeting

In its seventh year, this program drew proposals from 10 Student Research Affiliates. We congratulate the following students, whose proposals were judged to be of the highest quality.

Ge Gao, Sociology, “Doing It Alone or Together? The Effects of Job Flexibility on Parents' Time Spend on Childcare.” Ms. Gao is this year’s winner of the Suzanne M. Bianchi Summer Research Fellowship.

Mei Yang, Criminology, “Investigating Resilience in the Context of Exclusionary Discipline.”

MPRC Summer Research Grants provide promising MPRC Student Research Affiliates with summer research time or other research resources to complete work on a paper or extended abstract to submit to the Population Association of America (PAA) Annual Conference. They are supported by the Suzanne Bianchi Endowed MPRC Student Research Support Fund, a tribute to the Center's Founding Director.
