New developments in the Consortium on Race, Gender, and Ethnicity

New team members, upcoming summit at Harvard University

The Consortium on Race, Gender, and Ethnicity (CRGE), partially funded by MPRC and led by Faculty Associate Ruth Zambrana, has recently added two new members to its team, Dr. Diana M. Guelespe, and Lenora R. Knowles. Dr. Guelespe is the incoming Assistant Director of CRGE, and Ms. Knowles is a first year doctoral student at the Womens Studies department.

In other recent developments, CRGE successfully hosted the second Intersectional Qualitative Research Methods Institute (IQRMI) for Underrepresented Minority Scholars in collaboration with MPRC and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Connections program in June 2016. The five-day course involved 20 participants from across the country in discussions on research design, writing, and the academic environment.

CRGE will also collaborate with the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University to co-host a summit on leadership in higher education in April 2017.
