Presentation Title: “COWA: A Two-way Coupled Human-Climate-Water Model”
Hosted by: Safa Motesharrei, Applied Mathematics/Public Policy
Note: There is a change in the colloquium presentation today due to a family emergency of the speaker. The topic will now be on The Coupled Human-Climate –Water model (COWA), a minimal dynamic model that aims to capture bidirectional positive, negative and delayed feedbacks. COWA allows the ability to determine the Water Carrying Capacity of a region. This helps determine the sustainability of water management strategies and the impact on population health and growth.
