Postdoctoral Scholar – Columbia University

The Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS) team - December 15, 2020

The Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS) team at Columbia University School of Social Work is seeking a postdoctoral scholar with a PhD in economics, public policy, demography, social work, sociology, or a related discipline to work with the FFCWS team (including Jeanne Brooks-Gunn, Irv Garfinkel, Ronald Mincy, Julien Teitler, and Jane Waldfogel at Columbia and Kathy Edin at Princeton) on analyses of youth and family wellbeing, drawing on the age 22 wave (currently in progress) as well as earlier waves. Topics of interest include education, employment, housing, income and assistance, relationships, family formation and childbearing, identity, health, and substance use, with a special focus on system-involved youth and a cross-cutting focus on racial inequalities and structural racism. The postdoctoral fellowship is for two years, with the option to renew for a third year contingent on performance and funding.

Deadline: December 15, 2020, but applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, starting immediately.
