Improving Smoking Cessation Interventions among People Living with HIV
The National Institutes of Health invite R01 and R21 applications to the Improving Smoking Cessation Interventions among People Living with HIV program supporting research designed to optimize smoking cessation treatment among people living with HIV (PLWH) in the U.S. and to systematically test existing evidence-based smoking cessation interventions (e.g., combination of behavioral and pharmacological). Research must be conducted with PLWH and inform efforts to reduce the incidence of tobacco-related morbidity and mortality among PLWH. Research may also address the behavioral and sociocultural factors and conditions that are associated with cigarette smoking among PLWH. Up to three R01 awards with a combined total of up to $3 million may be made, and up to three R21 awards with a combined total of up to $1 million may be made. Eligibility is unrestricted domestically.
