Call for Papers: Wittgenstein Centre Conference 2020 on the Demographic Aspects of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its Consequences

IUSSP - July 31st, 2020

Call for Papers:

Wittgenstein Centre Conference 2020 on the Demographic Aspects of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its Consequences
Vienna, Austria, 30 November-1 December 2020

Deadline for submissions: July 31st 2020

COVID-19 is causing serious health, social and economic challenges, several of which are directly related to demographic factors. While the initial efforts focus on slowing the spread of the pandemic and mitigating its immediate impact, there are likely to be significant longer-term demography-related consequences.  To investigate into these highly important topics the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital is dedicating it’s annual conference to the COVID-19 pandemic and it‘s demographic aspects. The conference offers a scientific platform to explore the contribution of demography in providing important input to handle future societal challenges.
