This seed grant provides $1,500-$5,000 to early career faculty to develop a study that primarily uses qualitative research methods (including: participant-observation, in-depth interviews, focus groups, life histories, or ethnographies with human subjects) or mixed methods. The investigator may request funds to begin new data collection for a qualitative study, to collect qualitative data to complement and interpret prior survey study, or to write up the results of qualitative data research previously collected.
