Sociology and Medicine 9-month tenure-system position

The Department of Sociology at Michigan State University seeks candidates for a 9-month tenure-system position in the Sociology of Health and Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning August 16, 2016. We seek candidates with a research focus on health issues, such as mental health, physical conditions, mortality, health disparities, and health care service. A Ph.D. in Sociology or related field is required by the date of appointment. Candidates must display potential for and/or evidence of excellence in research. Also, candidates must display potential for and/or evidence of external grant support for their research. This position is listed on the MSU Applicant Page as posting #1328.
