Parking is available at the Quality Inn, for registered guests only.

Airports & Ground Transportation

There are three airports in the Washington, DC regional area that you can easily travel through: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI); Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA); and Dulles International (IAD).

Driving directions from each of the airports is available from the hotel's website.

Dulles is the furthest away; BWI is closer and easier to get to from the University of Maryland campus; National is very convenient (Metro stop right at the airport) but flights are more limited in number and frequency.

From Baltimore Washington International (BWI)
Metro provides transportation via the BWI Express Metro Bus (B30). Exit BWI to Ground Transportation and look for one of two bus stops running from the airport to Greenbelt Metro Station. At Greenbelt, take the Green Line in the direction of Branch Avenue to the College Park metro station (only one stop). The bus will cost $6.00 exact change one-way plus $1.60 off-peak/$2.15 peak for the metro.

From National Airport (DCA)
Exit aiport following signs for National Airport Metro Station. Board the Yellow Line train in the direction of either Fort Totten or Mount Vernon Square station. When you arrive at L’Enfant Plaza station, exit the train but stay on the same platform and wait for a Green Line train on the same line in the direction of Greenbelt. Board the train and exit at the College Park station. A one-way metro trip will run $2.75 off-peak/$4.90 peak.

From Dulles International (IAD)
Both the Washington Flyer and Metro offer buses to nearby Metro subway stops.

Metro runs a bus (5A) directly to the L’Enfant Plaza station. From there, board a Green Line train to Greenbelt and exit at College Park station. The bus will cost $6.00 (exact change needed), and the metro will run $2.15 off-peak/$4.00 peak.

Washington Flyer also runs a bus to the West Falls Church station every 20 to 30 minutes. From there take the Orange Line in the direction of New Carrollton. Exit at L’Enfant Plaza and board a Green Line train in the direction of Greenbelt. (Upstairs - pay attention to the signage.) Take the train to the College Park station. This bus will cost $10 one-way or $18 round-trip, and the metro runs $2.75 off-peak/$5.20 peak.

From other points in the Washington DC area :

  • Take your best route to the Green Line in the direction of Greenbelt.
  • Exit at the College Park metro station.

From the College Park metro station, you may taxi (there is a taxi stand) to the Quality Inn and Suites, 7200 Baltimore Ave - a five minute ride.

  • Take Amtrak to Union Station
  • Switch to Metro Red Line toward Glenmont
  • Transfer to the Green Line at Fort Totten (descend to the lower level)
  • Take the Green Line toward Greenbelt
  • Exit at the College Park metro station
  • The metro runs $2.15 off-peak/$3.60 peak

From the College Park metro station, you may taxi (there is a taxi stand) to the Quality Inn and Suites, 7200 Baltimore Ave - a five minute ride.
