Rashawn Ray disputes Trump "Black jobs" claim

Ray condemns Trump's "Black jobs" claim, citing systemic inequality

Writing in Forbes, Shaun Harper address former President Trump's claims that immigrants are taking "Black jobs." He highlights Faculty Associate Rashawn Ray's words, where Ray labeled Trump's statement as racist. He notes that "due to systemic oppression including a lack of educational opportunities and hiring and wage discrimination, Black men, in particular, are over-concentrated in the top 10 jobs expected to be obsolete in 20 years and underrepresented in the fastest growing professions."
