Willow Lung-Amam publishes new book
"Trespassers?" outlines the Asian American experience in Silicon Valley
Faculty associate Willow Lung-Amam has recently published a book titled, "Trespassers? Asian Americans and the Battle for Suburbia." The book outlines the Asian American experience in Silicon Valley given rapid demographic shifts in the area, as a result of the rise of the technological industry and with it, immigration from Asia. Dr. Lung-Amam highlights the unrest experienced in the host community as a consequence of immigration, and the rights and life of Asian Americans as a community that has come to occupy a majority in the city.
