Ingmar Prucha named Distinguished University Professor

Professor Ingmar Prucha receives the University of Maryland's highest academic honor for achievements in the field of theoretical and applied econometrics

MPRC Faculty Associate Ingmar Prucha has been named a Distinguished University Professor in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research, teaching, and service. Professor Prucha is well known for his achievements in the field of theoretical and applied econometrics. His current research interests in theoretical econometrics include cross-section models and static/dynamic panel-data models with cross-sectional/spatial interactions.

The Distinguished University Professor award is the University of Maryland’s highest academic honor. Distinguished University Professors are recognized nationally and internationally for the importance of their scholarly and/or creative achievements. They demonstrate the breadth of interest that encompasses the traditional role of scholar, teacher, and public servant, and they bring distinction to the University of Maryland as a result of their work
