About the Presentation
To gain a more holistic insight into the various discourses and sentiments pertaining to immigration, we examined multiple publicly available social media platforms consisting of X, Facebook, Reddit, and BlueSky. From each of these platforms, we collected English-language posts from the U.S. that contained one or more keywords referencing refugees in particular and immigrants broadly. We investigated temporal and geographic patterns in sentiment and engagement of posts related to refugees and immigrants in the U.S.
