On Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:30pm-8:00pm, the Judge Alexander Williams Center, Jr. Center for Education, Justice and Ethics will be hosting the fourth annual lecture centered on Ethics. Joseph L. Wright, Chief Health Equity Officer of the University of Maryland Medical System, will speak about structural racism and its connection to health inequities that disproportionately affect marginalized communities. The annual lecture will be located at the Hotel at the University of Maryland (7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740). All guests are welcome to attend. About The Judge Alexander Williams Jr. Center

The mission of the Judge AW Center is to research, develop solutions to, and provide a forum for discussing the prevailing issues facing underserved and disadvantaged communities today.

The Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Lecture Series is dedicated to recognizing those individuals and organizations whose exemplary commitment to education, ethics, and justice inspires excellence and promotes the advancement of equity, pluralism, civic discourse, and democracy.

In compliance and coordination with public health guidance, COVID-19 data, and Prince George's County mandates, wearing a mask is not required while indoors in most situations, including classrooms.
