About the Presentation

Signs of climate change is everywhere. But how is it impacting population health across the globe? Using National Health Interview Survey Data for United States and Demographic and Health Survey data for Nepal, this presentation will delve into the differing impact of climate change on population health in countries that are at the opposite end of economic prosperity.

About the Speaker

Amir Sapkota

Amir Sapkota is a Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. He received his doctorate from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and post-doctoral training from International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Lyon, France. His background is in exposure assessment and environmental epidemiology. His research focuses on impact of climate change on human health.
