At this meeting we will have Dr. Andrés Villarreal, who is professor from the Department of Sociology and an MPRC Faculty Associate, joining us to discuss one of his recent published papers on ethnicity in Mexico: “Ethnic Identification and its Consequences for Measuring Inequality in Mexico”.

Dr. Villarreal has published on a wide range of topics, including migration, ethnicity, and social inequality. And this article published in the American Sociological Review is an example of his work on race and ethnicity in Latin America. Dr. Villarreal will be glad to lead the discussion and provide general background and comments on the paper at this meeting.

We believe that having Dr. Villarreal join our discussion would not only deepen our understanding of the paper but also help us to learn more about his research and publication experience, and we are grateful to Dr. Villarreal for sharing his work. We look forward to seeing you at another great discussion.

Please note that, at the present time, Morrill Hall is not accessible for handicapped individuals.
