The POP Center now has a working group on Neighborhoods and Communities.  In its recent grant, this section  /working group was formed "in recognition of the contribution of residential segregation, social networks, locally-situated social capital and public service organizations to multiple dimensions of population and health, including education, crime, and mental health."

Dr. McGloin, as the first leader of this group, invites you to a first meeting to brainstorm about some potential directions for this working group.  "We could be a forum to share and comment on each other’s working papers, we could try to get in a guest speaker who does work on a topic of interest to all of us (there is a $2000 incentive we could use for this), along with several other options," she said.

Please feel free to share this information with interested graduate students.
