Biography:

I am an environmental sociologist and demographer interested in questions surrounding environmental change and human well-being. I investigate the health and social impacts of climate change, the social processes underlying dam-induced displacement, and relationships between environmental change, migration, and social capital. I use quantitative and qualitative methods to examine these issues in low- and middle-income countries including Brazil, Ethiopia, and Mongolia.
