Michael Kremerreceived his Ph.D. from Harvard
University and is currently Professor of Economics at
Harvard. He is a research associate at the National Bureau
for Economic Research, a senior fellow at the Brookings
Institution and a consultant for the Development Economics
Research Group at the World Bank. He is also an associate
editor of both the Journal of Development Economics and the
Quarterly Journal of Economics. Dr. Kremer's research
interests include development, macroeconomics, economic
growth, education and development and research
incentives. Among his publications are "Ways to Spur Malaria
Vaccine Research" and "Retrospective vs. Prospective
Analyses of School Inputs: The Case of Flip Charts in
Kenya." Other recent publications include "The Impact of
Development Assistance on Social Capital: Evidence from
Kenya," and "A Purchase Commitment for Vaccines," both of
which are chapters of books.
