<p><strong>Data Access via SodaPop</strong></p>

<p>
The Maryland Population Research Center (MPRC) is pleased to announce a 
partnership with the Population Research Institute (PRI) at Penn State 
University to provide easy access to SAS data sets online. PRI offers 
a long history of supporting population research by providing access to 
a variety of data, and SodaPop, their newest interface, continues this 
valuable effort.  SodaPop (<u>S</u>imple <u>O</u>nline <u>D</u>ata 
<u>A</u>rchive for <u>POP</u>ulation Studies) is a web-based system 
that allows PRI, and now MPRC, affiliates to extract data from SAS data 
sets online, as well as view codebooks 
and documentation.  MPRC and PRI staff look forward to working together 
to maintain the many data sets available in SodaPop so that our affiliates 
always have access to the latest data in the formats they need for analysis.
