SAS COURSE
This course is designed for people who are just getting started using SAS 9. The course introduces basic user interface techniques for using SAS 9 to accomplish data processing tasks. The students in the class will have some hands-on experience using SAS 9 for data management and data analysis. The class notes are printed and given to the students in the class. No prior programming knowledge is required.

Covered topics include:
1. The components of Base SAS, SAS Windows Manager System, the methods of input raw data into SAS , Format and Informat, error debugging and SAS file management.
2. Data manipulation (controlling rows and columns), system Options, IF statements, WHERE statement, array and DO loops.
3. SAS functions, sorting and merging data.
4. Reporting (list report, table report, and graphics report) and ODS.
5. Analyzing data (TTEST, ANOVA, logistic and regression).

Section 1: The SAS Training Course will meet at MPRC on: Tuesday, July 8th from 9:30am-5:00pm Section 2: The SAS Training Course will meet at MPRC on: Tuesday, July 15th from 9:30am-5:00pm
Note: Both SAS sections will cover the same content. You only need to select one section to attend.

Stata COURSE
This course is designed for people who are just getting started using Stata 10. The course introduces basic user interface techniques for using Stata 10 to accomplish data processing tasks. The students in the class will have some hands-on experience using Stata 10 for data management and data analysis. The class notes are printed and given to the students in the class. No prior programming knowledge is required.

Covered topics include:
1. Getting started to use Stata 10, inputting raw data into Stata, examining system and data, creating log and do files.
2. Generating variables. Grouping, modifying, looping and sampling data.
3. Sorting, merging, reshaping, expanding and collapsing data.
4. Reporting and analyzing data (TTEST, ANOVA, logistic and regression).

The Stata Training Course is scheduled on: Thursday, July 10 from 9:30am-5:00pm
