The Moshi Infertility Survey is a collaborative project of the University of Maryland, College Park; Harvard School of Public Health, Boston; National Bureau of Statistics, Dar es Salaam; Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre, Moshi; and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta.
Funding was provided by grant RO1 HD41202 from the National Institute of Health/National Institute of
Child Health and Human Development.
The survey focuses on infertility in Moshi, Tanzania. It includes the following sections: Respondent's background;
Children ever born/fathered and female respondents' pregnancy history; Marriage history; Sexual practices;
STD symptoms; Contraception and most recent birth interval; and Infertility.
