Rashawn Ray profiled by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

A member of RWJF Scholars in Health Research program

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) wrote up a profile of MPRC Faculty Associate Rashawn Ray as part of their reporting on their Scholars in Health Research program, of which he is a member. The Scholars program provides paid full-time two-year fellowships to outstanding new PhDs in economics, political science, and sociology to advance their involvement in health policy research, according to RWJF.

The profile details Dr. Ray's intellectual trajectory and the life history which informs it. "I've lived in predominately Black areas, I've lived in predominantly White areas, I've lived in racially diverse areas. Urban areas, rural areas, I've lived in them all. So I've had the personal experience that lets me view things through a lens that most people don't," he said.
