The University of Maryland invites applications for a Faculty Research Assistant/Associate position to serve as Program Coordinator of the India Human Development Survey.  The position will combine research and administrative responsibilities.  The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the next round of the survey including interfacing with U.S.- and India-based institutions, managing data, supervising research assistants, and cooperating in the design and analysis of survey results.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, organizational skills and ability to multi-task are necessary. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and skills with statistical packages such as SAS or Stata, as well as social science survey research experience are essential. Fluent Hindi required. Master’s Degree in sociology or related field, Ph.D. preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
