The Maryland Population Research Center is a research and training facility housed within the College of
Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) at the University of Maryland, College Park. It is located on the first floor
of the newly remodeled Cole Student Activities Building (formerly Cole Field House). The Center can be
accessed using the door facing the visitors' parking lot, across from the Stamp Student Union Building.
From Baltimore and Points North
From Baltimore, take I-95 South to I-495 West Exit (Exit 27) towards Silver Spring/Bethesda. Take the Exit on the
Left Toward US-1 / College Park / Weigh Station / Carpool. Then take the I-95 South Exit toward US-1 / College Park.
Merge onto I-495 East / Capital Beltway and then take the Baltimore Ave / US-1 South Exit (EXIT 25B) toward College
Park. Turn slight right onto US-1 South. Drive approximately 2 miles and then turn right onto Campus Drive (this is
the main campus entrance). Go through one roundabout and up the hill. Visitor parking is available at the Student
Union garage located on the right at the first stop sign. MPRC can be accessed using the door that opens onto the
top level of this parking lot.
From Washington, DC and Points South
From Washington, D.C., take New York Avenue NW / US-50 East (crossing into Maryland). Merge onto I-295 North via the
Left Exit toward Baltimore. Take the Riverdale Road Exit toward exit toward MD-410 / Hyattsville / New Carrollton.
Turn Left onto Riverdale Road. Riverdale Road becomes East-West Highway / MD-410 West. Turn slight right onto
Kenilworth Ave / MD-201 North. Turn Left onto Paint Branch Parkway and follow to the main entrance (Paint Branch
Pkwy becomes Campus Drive). Go through one roundabout and up the hill. Visitor parking is available at the Student
Union garage located on the right at the first stop sign. MPRC can be accessed using the door that opens onto the
top level of this parking lot.
